Come and check out the wonderful waters of the
South, a place where fly fishing is available year round.
Each season offers new and exciting opportunities for the experienced fly
angler as well as those that are new to flyfishing. We custom tailor each trip to fit the needs
and expectations of every angler. All you need to do is let us know what those needs and expectations are.
CURRENT NEWS AT FLYDRIFTERS:
We're finally starting to get some decent rain here in East Tennessee. The rivers in the Smokies are starting to look good. We're hoping for normal Spring flows. Don't forget the Smallmouth, folks! The Smallmouth water should be flowing good also. I can't say enough good things about this fine gamefish. If you've never targeted Smallmouth then don't let another season pass you by without going after them.
Look out for next year, we have some new water that we will be offering trips on. The Cumberland River below Wolf Creek Dam in South Central Kentucky. It has been fishing very good! We will be licensed to guide there in 2008. Drop us an email for more information on trip offerings and the fishing there.
We took delivery of a new Hog Island Drifter on the 31st of October. We haven't had a chance to test this beast on much of any current but the boat is stealthy quiet. It's very comfortable, too. But it's just begging to be rowed somewhere with serious whitewater! We think you will really enjoy fishing out of it. It's the only Coast Guard approved drift boat made.
Flydrifters also picked up some new sponsors. Along with Hog Island Boat Works we are also sponsored by these fine companies. Waterworks-Lamson, Simms, Winston Rods, and Scientific Anglers. We offer some of the best equipment made.
We are currently working on an entirely new website that we hope to have up and running by next Spring. This new site will have lots of interesting features to help us better serve our guests. We're very excited about it! Tight lines, everybody! Here's to an exciting 2008 angling season!
